Masters Competitive is designed for experienced Masters rowers, both sweep and scull, who have maintained baseline fitness. Participants will compete at regattas in Virginia and elsewhere. An experienced RRC Coach oversees practices and competitions.

The season is divided into 2 sessions:
Sprint / Summer (AM)
Designed for experienced Masters rowers, both sweep and scull, who have maintained baseline fitness during the winter and spring. Commitment to race in at least 2 of 3 regattas is required. Consistent attendance is also required.
Head / Fall (PM)
Designed for experienced Masters rowers, both sweep and scull, who have maintained baseline fitness during the summer and can commit to the fall head race season. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in multiple races where feasible. This group will receive coaching on Saturdays and will practice on its own in smaller boats during the week. Possible races include the Head of the Ohio and the Head of the James.
