About Rivanna Rowing Club

The Rivanna Rowing Club (RRC) is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, on the Rivanna Reservoir just northwest of town. With about 100 year-round members, the RRC is one of the Charlottesville area’s larger athletic organizations. RRC athletes compete at the regional, national and even international levels.

Facilities

The RRC boathouse is located on the banks of the Rivanna Reservoir, about four miles from the University of Virginia. The reservoir provides five miles of calm water in the heart of Albemarle County. This allows for access to the Rivanna Reservoir and private boat storage. 

Programs

RRC offers a variety of coached sculling and sweep rowing programs for adult and junior rowers of all skill levels, as well as off season training for club members.

 

 Equipment

RRC equipment includes 13 sculling boats (singles, doubles, and quads) and 3 sweep boats (1 four and 2 eights) as well as both sculling and sweep oars.

2023-2024 Board of Directors

The RRC Board of Directors is run by volunteers who serve two-year terms helping to manage operations of the club. The Board typically meets once a month and all RRC members are welcome to attend.
